Pateplay and its first official participation in Latin America
“GAT Expo Cartagena 2025 marked our first official participation as exhibitors at an industry event in Latin America, which represents a very important milestone for Pateplay. This presence not only allowed us to strengthen our brand in the region, but also consolidates our long-term commitment to the Latin American market,” stated Cristian Tonanti.
“It is the first step of many we are planning on this expansion path. We came to showcase who we are, but also to learn and connect. The quality of the meetings, the warmth, and the opportunity to share with industry colleagues have exceeded our expectations,” he added.
Pateplay Highlights at GAT Cartagena
“At this edition, we were able to strengthen important ties with key players in the industry. We especially highlight the strengthening of our relationships with GLI's Latam offices and, in a very special case, with the Peruvian office of BMM TestLabs. This reinforces our commitment to the highest standards of certification and regulatory compliance in every jurisdiction where we operate,” said Tonanti.
“We have reached a commercial agreement with a renowned land-based casino operator in Medellín, and we are currently in advanced negotiations with three of the ten largest online operators in Colombia: Betplay, Rushbet, and Wplay. On the other hand, we already have an active strategic alliance with TriunfoBet, the number one operator in Venezuela,” he added.
“We have also noticed growing interest from both online and physical operators in Peru, which motivates us to continue developing products tailored to the specific needs of that market.”

eSports, online betting, and AI
When asked about eSports, he commented that, while Pateplay does not have active lines in the eSports sector, it is closely analyzing its evolution as an emerging vertical.
“Our approach focuses on the use of Artificial Intelligence applied to user behavior analysis, which allows us to better understand player preferences and develop new products more aligned with their expectations. This ability to read the market through AI is a powerful tool for offering personalized and relevant content in all the markets where we operate,” he stated.
Pateplay in Colombia, Brazil, and Argentina
“At Pateplay, we closely monitor every regulatory development in the region. “We have a legal team that works closely with our developers to ensure that our products are aligned with current regulatory frameworks from the outset,” Tonanti notes.
“In the specific case of Brazil, we are in a privileged position, as we were one of the few providers that anticipated the new regulations and managed to certify their content in a timely manner. We also have a locally established entity, which facilitates relations with operators and authorities.
“In Argentina, we are very close to meeting all the requirements established by the regulations of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, and we already operate in compliance with the requirements of most provinces. Thanks to our GLI and BMM certifications, the only remaining step is the incorporation of a local company, a process that is already underway to strengthen our presence and trust in the market.
“We already operate in compliance with Coljuegos guidelines in Colombia, which further strengthens our capacity for regulatory adaptation throughout the region.”

Tonanti expressed satisfaction with the impact of the products and the recognition of operators and integrators at the show. “We had a logistical setback with our physical cabinets that were supposed to be exhibited, but far from being an obstacle, it became an unexpected opportunity for visibility that we knew how to capitalize positively,” he added.
“We want to highlight the fundamental role of José Aníbal Aguirre, organizer of GAT Expo, who was always present.” "We were willing to collaborate and made all the event's resources available to mitigate the impact of the inconveniences. This general solidarity within the industry reflects the human quality of the ecosystem and reaffirms our commitment to continue investing in these spaces," he stated.
